The Partners

All three of us are chartered accountants and Fellows of the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales).

We each have a wide mix of clients, from private individuals to large, established businesses.

Martin Hurst
Originally from Leicester, I moved to Norfolk in 1979 and was amongst the final intake of students at The Paston Grammar School in North Walsham where I completed my education, although with considerably less eminence than former pupil, Lord Nelson (or even Stephen Fry).

Despite having two older sisters who had already joined the profession, and could have cautioned me against such action, I decided to follow in their footsteps and joined a long-standing local firm where I qualified as a Chartered Accountant at the age of 22.

Having enjoyed and benefited from over 15 years of service, training and experience within a national practice that had grown from local roots, I decided to move on in 2002 to form RHP Partnership with Nigel and Sue, my sister. I am now lucky enough to act for a wide variety of loyal clients ranging from smaller sole-traders right through to larger corporate entities and charities.

Although now only an armchair pundit, rugby and football continue to be high amongst my out-of-work interests and I still make regular pilgrimages to my roots to watch Leicester Tigers (rugby) and Leicester City F.C. In my younger days, I also spent some years racing powerboats but the excitement (or rather the regular crashes) proved too much and brought my motor sport career to a premature halt. Now more leisurely pursuits, such as exploring the British countryside with my wife, Caroline and our two cocker spaniels occupy any spare time.

Sue Pring
Born and educated in Leicester I moved to Norfolk with the rest of my family and I joined a strong local firm of Chartered Accountants in 1982.

Qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1987 I remained with and benefited from the experience and training that a large national firm was able to offer until leaving to establish RHP Partnership with Nigel and Martin in 2002.

I specialise in advising owner-managed and family owned businesses of all sizes, together with professional practices, drawing on my own experiences having previously been involved with the Stoy Centre for Family Business and running a professional practice with my brother! (and Nigel of course.) I have a large varied portfolio of very loyal and supportive clients, many of whom I am now lucky enough to call friends.

Away from the office my “spare time” is taken up with a husband, two daughters and athletics. As a UK Athletics qualified coach I look after rising star middle distance athletes at City of Norwich AC. Sport in general is a passion in my house so there is little time for anything else.
